What we will try to do for you    What you can try to do for us

We are committed to giving you the best possible service that can be attained by working together as a team.

You will be treated with courtesy and respect.

We will always offer the treatment we believe is best, by a suitably qualified person, with your informed consent. We strive to promote good health through preventive medicine.

We will make every effort to see you promptly. Medical emergencies will receive immediate attention and there will be a duty doctor available for urgent problems.

We will arrange a home visit if you are too ill or infirm to attend surgery.

There will always be a duty doctor on call when the surgery is closed

We offer telephone consultations.

We will inform you how to obtain the results of tests and X-rays.

We will respect patients’ rights of confidentiality and access to medical records within the law.

We will try to deal at once with any problems or complaints.

We like to feel that you are partners in the care you receive and we ask that you accept your own responsibilities in return.

Please treat all surgery staff with the same courtesy and respect you would expect from them.

Ask if you are unclear about your treatment and try to follow medical advice. Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot keep an appointment.

Be understanding when unexpected emergencies delay your consultation. Arrive on time for your appointment – late arrivals may be seen if there is time at the end of surgery.

Only ask for home visits if it is impossible for you to get to the surgery. Try to request home visits before 10am

Please contact the out of hours duty doctor only in an emergency.

Please telephone during morning surgery and leave your contact details.

Please telephone reception after 10am for results when we are less busy.

If you wish us to release information, e.g. test results, to someone else you must give us written consent.

If you have a concern please, let the reception Manager or your doctor know as soon as possible.
